Who publishes this site
The Forex Store is published by Martin Alejandro Bamonte, based in Argentina. He develops Expert Advisors and indicators for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, writes technical articles for MQL5.com, and maintains a dataset that tracks listings on the MetaTrader Market. The site is not a company, not a broker, and not affiliated with MetaQuotes, the maker of MetaTrader.
He sells trading software
This is the conflict of interest that matters most, so it comes first. The author develops and sells Expert Advisors and indicators through his own stores, separate from this site. When you read a page here about automated trading, it is written by someone who competes in that market.
What that means in practice:
- Pages about third-party software are written by someone with a commercial interest in that category. Judge them accordingly, and check the primary source.
- Where a page links to a product the author sells, the page says so at that point.
- No page publishes performance figures for any product, the author’s included. That rule exists partly for this reason.
Not affiliated with similarly named sites
The Forex Store, at theforexstore.com, has no connection to other sites with similar names, including forexstore.com. Any similarity is in the words, not in the ownership.
How the site earns money
At the time of this page’s last review, the site does not sell anything of its own, does not run advertising, and does not charge for access. Where that changes, this page changes with it, before the money starts and not after.
The site may use affiliate links, meaning a commission is paid if you sign up or buy through them, typically with brokers, hosting providers or software. Where it does, the page carrying the link says so at the point of the link. Commission does not decide what appears here or in what order.
