About
Who publishes The Forex Store, why it exists, and the commercial interest behind it, stated plainly.
The Forex Store is a reference site about foreign exchange trading and the MetaTrader platform. It explains how trading systems work, what their settings actually do, and what an account needs before you run anything on it.
Why this site exists
Most pages about Expert Advisors fall into two groups. Either they are sales pages that lead with a return figure, or they are thin rewrites of a vendor’s own description. Neither tells you the thing you need before you attach a robot to a live chart: what the logic actually does when the market moves against it, which broker conditions it assumes, and what breaks it.
This site is written to answer that. Every page is meant to be the one you read before you decide, not the one that decides for you.
Who writes it
The Forex Store is published by Martin Alejandro Bamonte, a developer of Expert Advisors and indicators for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. He writes technical articles for MQL5.com, the official MetaTrader developer community, where submissions are reviewed by an editor before publication. He also maintains a dataset that tracks listings on the MetaTrader Market.
That background is the reason this site can explain what a robot does at the level of its inputs and its order handling. It is also the reason for the disclosure below.
He also sells trading software
This matters, so it is stated plainly rather than buried. The person writing this site develops and sells Expert Advisors through separate stores. That is a commercial interest, and it could bias a page about a competing product.
Three rules keep that in check, and you can hold the site to them:
- No page on this site publishes a profit figure, a win rate or a backtest result, for any product, including the author’s own. A number without an audited account behind it is marketing, not evidence.
- Pages describe mechanisms and requirements. What the logic does, what the inputs change, what account conditions it assumes, what happens in the bad case.
- Where a page links to a product the author sells, it says so on the page.
The full statement is in disclosures, and the rules the site writes by are in the editorial policy.
What you will find here
- Learn: forex and trading explained, including the parts most beginner guides skip.
- MetaTrader: MT4, MT5, Expert Advisors, indicators, MQL programming and the problems people actually run into.
- Markets: currency pairs, sessions, central banks and the data that moves them.
- Tools: calculators for position size, risk and cost.
- Research: original studies, with the data and the method published alongside.
- Brokers: how to check a broker before you fund it.
- Glossary: plain definitions, with examples.
What you will not find
No signals. No “guaranteed” anything. No copied vendor descriptions. No pages written to rank that have nothing to say. If a page here does not add something you cannot get from the product’s own listing, it should not exist, and you are welcome to say so through contact.
Corrections
Pages carry the month they were last reviewed. Markets change, platform builds change, and broker conditions change, so a page that is right today can be wrong in a year. If you find an error, write and it gets fixed, with the change noted on the page.
